How much does Passal cost?
$8 per month in US dollars, plus any applicable sales tax, after a 14-day free trial. You don’t need a credit card to start the trial.
What’s included?
- Flashcards made from your lecture slides (PDF, PowerPoint, text, Markdown, or a recording’s transcript), plus quiz questions when the lecture supports them.
- The line from your slide under every card Passal makes.
- Spaced-repetition reviews, the Today screen and Recovery for every miss.
- Anki import, a downloadable study guide for each course, and Pomodoro, timer and stopwatch modes that track your study time.
- More cards with your own ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot by copy and paste, or with a supported Claude or ChatGPT connector.
Do I pay extra for AI?
No. Passal makes cards from your lectures on its own. Using your own AI for more cards is optional and runs on the assistant plan you already have; Passal doesn’t charge for it. Any subscription fee from your AI provider is separate.
Do I need a credit card to try Passal?
No. Sign in with Google or Microsoft and upload a lecture. You can add a passkey in Settings and sign in with it next time. No credit card is needed to start the trial.
How do cancellation and refunds work?
You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your paid period. If you are unhappy with a charge, email support within 14 days of that charge for a full refund. If a renewal payment fails, you keep full access for 7 days, then your account is read-only for 30 days and you can still export everything, then it stays on the free plan. Passal never deletes your data because a payment failed. Read the subscription terms or contact Passal support.
